Supply Chain Excellence Awards launched for 2021

The fourth edition of the “Bangladesh Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2021” was launched yesterday to recognize outstanding individuals and organizations for their outstanding contributions to advancing supply chain knowledge and practices across all sectors.

The non-bank financial institution IPDC Finance in collaboration with the Bangladesh Supply Chain Management Society (BSCMS) organized the awards.

The awards will also serve as an encouragement for professionals who play an important role in the supply chain management ecosystem. Performance from July 2020 to June 2021 will be considered while recognizing individuals and the organization.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place during a press conference at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka.

Organizations and individuals can submit their nominations online at www.bsceabd.com in 11 categories.

These are supply chain collaboration and partnership, supply chain talent development, manufacturing excellence, supply chain financial management, management logistics and transportation, customer service, warehousing and distribution, supply chain planning process, supply chain sustainability, technology as a catalyst for Supply Chain, Young Supply Chain Talent of the Year and Supply Chain Professional of the Year.

Applications can be submitted until November 20. A jury will select the best cases as winners. The winners will receive badges and certificates, according to a statement.

Mominul Islam, CEO of IPDC Finance, said: “As a financial intermediary, we feel responsible for ensuring that our SMEs and businesses remain competitive on a global scale, for which excellence in the management of the supply chain is essential.

“IPDC strongly believes in the importance of collaboration in influencing the activity, experience and resources of an organization. Therefore, IPDC has collaborated with BSCMS to recognize best practices in supply chain management through award, ”he said.

Naquib Khan, President of BSCMS, said that the success of any business, amid fierce competition and global challenges, is inextricably linked to the performance of its supply chain. “We want to recognize these successful people for their contribution to the management of technological resources,” he said.

Ejaazur Rahman, CEO of ISCEA (Asia), Rizwan Dawood Shams, Additional Director General of Finance of IPDC and Sharier Khan, Editor-in-Chief and Publisher of The Business Standard, were also present.
