Delhi Police Blow Up Illicit Liquor Factory, Arrested

New Delhi [India]July 3 (ANI): Delhi police dismantled a fake liquor factory and arrested one person.
According to the North East Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), a police team was patrolling the New Usmanpur area on Friday evening. When the police team arrived near the mosque in the old village of Garhi Mendu, a foul smell similar to that of alcohol was detected. After investigation, the police team knocked on the door of a nearby house, to which a person later identified as Shyam (26), a resident of Firozabad, responded.
As the door opened, the smell grew stronger, raising suspicion. During the cursory search, a plastic canister filled with illicit alcohol containing approximately 220 liters, mixed in the same location, 50 quart bottles of alcohol sealed, marked “For Sale in Haryana”, two plastic containers plastic containing chemicals of 32 kilograms each were recovered.

Also, a 5 liter plastic container of chemicals, needed to mix illicit alcohol, two burlap bags full of empty bottles, two packs full of corks, stickers of different brands of alcohol, 3D hologram stickers from different companies, a bottle sealing machine and a scooty used to supply the illicit alcohol were recovered from the scene.
Accordingly, a case under the relevant sections of the Excise Act was registered at New Usmanpur Police Station and arrested the accused Shyam.
The investigation is ongoing. (ANI)
