Expected benefits of General Mills, Bed, Bath & Beyond and Micron

We’ve rounded up the following companies that are expected to release their quarterly results today, June 30:

Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NASDAQ: BBBY – $ 29.91) operates a chain of retail stores. Enerpac will release its first quarter 2021 results ahead of the bell today.

Constellation Brands Inc. (NYSE: STZ – $ 230.98) produces, imports, markets and sells beer, wine and spirits in the United States, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand and Italy. Constellation Brands will release its first quarter 2021 results ahead of the bell today.

General Mills Inc. (NYSE: GIS – $ 60.03) manufactures and markets branded consumer foods around the world. General Mills will release its fourth quarter 2021 results ahead of the bell today.

Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: MU – $ 82.93) designs, manufactures and sells memory and storage products around the world. Micron will release its third quarter 2021 results after market close today.

Shaw Communications Inc. (NYSE: SJR – $ 28.75) is a North American connectivity company. Shaw will release its third quarter 2021 results after the market closes today.

Now let’s take a quick look at how yesterday’s results announcement compared to expectations:

Enerpac Tool Group Corp. (NYSE: EPAC – $ 25.07) manufactures and sells a range of industrial products and solutions around the world. Enerpac reported EPS of $ 0.28 for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $ 0.18 by $ 0.10. The company posted revenue of $ 143.10 million for the quarter, against analysts’ expectations of $ 137.44 million.

FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE: SDS – $ 337.03) provides integrated financial information and analytical applications to investment and corporate communities in the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific. FactSet reported EPS of $ 2.72 for the quarter, missing the consensus estimate of $ 2.75 of $ 0.03. The company posted revenue of $ 399.60 million for the quarter, compared to analysts’ expectations of $ 397.72 million.

AeroVironment Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV – $ 110.71) designs, develops, produces, supports and operates a portfolio of products and services for government agencies and businesses. AeroVironment reported EPS of $ 1.04 for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $ 0.81 by $ 0.23.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, Thursday will feature the usual data on initial and continuing jobless claims, along with the Markit Manufacturing PMI and ISM Manufacturing Indexes. All economic dates listed here are provisional and subject to change.

This is a friendly reminder that Independence Day falls on a Sunday this year. What this means for traders is that the US Stock Exchange will be closed on Monday July 5th, due to the holiday. Markets will reopen for a four-day week Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. ET for normal trading hours.
